In fact, India won the toss and chose bowling and did not allow the Windies to score big, taking consecutive wickets. For the West Indies, Kieron Pollard top scored with 49 runs. Apart from them Nicholas Puran scored 20 runs. Playing his first international match for India, Navdeep Saini took three wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two wickets. Fast bowler Navdeep Saini, playing his first international match for India, took the most three wickets. He got one Maiden over in four overs and gave only 17 runs. Not only this, Saini took two wickets in his first over. Saini became the second Indian bowler to take two wickets in the first over of his debut match in T20. Earlier, Pragyan Ojha took two wickets in the first over of his debut match against Bangladesh in 2009.

20th over maiden for the first time in T20 International's history

In the end Pollard was expected to score fast but could not do much. Saini lbw him on the third ball of the last over. Pollard faced 49 balls and hit two fours in addition to four sixes. But after Pollard left in the 20th over, no other batsman could score a single run. Due to Saini's precise bowling, this is the first time in the history of T20 International cricket that the 20th over has gone to Maiden.

By the way, only two batsmen of the Windies could reach the double figures. Apart from Saini for India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two wickets. Sundar, Ahmed, Pandya and Jadeja got one wicket each.
